KUALA LUMPUR: Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) acquired a total of three million shares of MALAYAN BANKING BHD [] on May 19-20, a filing with Bursa Malaysia showed.
The announcement on Tuesday, May 24 showed PNB acquired two million shares on May 19 and one million shares the next day. The recent transactions increased its stake to 401.64 million shares.
Meanwhile, Amanahraya Trustees Bhd, acting on behalf of Skim Amanah Saham Bumiputera disposed on 1.4 million shares on May 18 and 4.5 million shares on May 20.
After the recent disposals, its indirect shareholding was reduced to 3.402 billion shares.
