KUALA LUMPUR: EBWORX BHD [] posted net profit of RM2.53 million in the first quarter ended March 31, 2011, which was 48% above the RM1.71 million a year ago.
It said on Monday, May 23 that revenue rose to RM11.02 million from RM7.87 million while earnings per share were 1.2 sen versus 0.75 sen a year ago.
Group chief executive officer Tan Suan Fong said this quarter's net profit of RM2.53 million was already equivalent to over half of the group's entire net profit in FY2010, and almost 100% of the net profit in FY2009.
"Based on the net profit achieved in just the first quarter of 2011, I am extremely confident that eBworx will overachieve its financial performance targets this year," Tan added.
