KUALA LUMPUR: Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (Perodua) is maintaining its sales target of 195,000 vehicles for 2011 despite the temporary disruption to its production following the shortage of components and spare parts from Japan.
Its managing director Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh said on Wednesday, May 5 he was still upbeat that production would be back to normal much earlier than expected.
'Production will be ramped up in the coming months to make up for the shortfalls,' he said. 'This is also on the back of the anticipated high demand for our new model scheduled to be launched sometime this year.'
