KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Debt Ventures aims to disburse RM300 million in loans under its green tech financing programme over next year.
Its managing director Zubir Ansori Yahaya said on Tuesday, May 3 that MDV's fund size was RM4.1 billion which it would use to provide loans to high-risk and emerging industries such as ICT, bioTECHNOLOGY [] and green tech.
"Presently, our portfolio stands at 85% for ICT and 15% for biotech. In the long run, we hope to make it 60% ICT, 20% biotech and 20% green tech,' he said after the launch of its green tech financing programme.
Deputy Finance Minister I Datuk Donald Lim, who launched the programme, said the authorities would continue to monitor the effects of the rising ringgit against the US dollar.
