KUALA LUMPUR: Blue chips fell for the fifth day on Thursday, May 5 on lack of positive external leads and the cautious overnight close on Wall Street.
The FBM KLCI was down 7.65 points to 1,520.78. Turnover was 65.49 million shares valued at RM62.26 million. There were 86 gainers, 125 losers and 108 stocks unchanged.
DiGi, which saw volatile trading prices over the week, fell 48 sen to RM29.12, BAT lost 40 sen RM47.60 while GENTING BHD [] shed 12 sen to RM11.18 and MISC 10 sen to RM7.40.
PLANTATION [] stocks were among the major losers, with KL Kepong down 24 sen to RM20.84, PPB 18 sen to RM16.80 and Genting Plantations 16 sen to RM7.98.
