MK Land advances on strong earnings

KUALA LUMPUR: Shares of MK Land Bhd advanced in early trade on Monday, May 23 after it announced that its net profit rose more than two-fold to RM7.22 million in the third quarter ended March 31.

At 9.09am, it was up two sen to 40 sen with 1.59 million shares done.

The FBM KLCI was up just 0.36 of a point to 1,541.39. Turnover was 31.40 million shares done valued at RM23.55 million. There were 82 gainers, 89 losers and 122 stocks unchanged.

Last Friday, MK Land reported net profit of RM7.22 million in the third quarter versus RM2.02 million a year ago, underpinned by its strong property performance. Revenue rose to RM165.15 million from RM94.74 million. Net asset per share was 87 sen.
