Nikkei slips, energy stocks weigh after oil price fall

TOKYO: Japan's Nikkei stock average fell for a second straight session on Tuesday after oil prices dropped nearly 3 percent, spurring profit-taking in energy shares that were seen as overbought after recent rallies.

The benchmark average opened down 1.2 percent at 9,603.50, while the broader Topix also shed 1.2 percent to 842.47. - Reuters
