KUALA LUMPUR: Konsortium ABASS Sdn Bhd has filed a writ of summons against Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (SYABAS), demanding the latter make full payment on invoices issued pursuant to the privatisation cum concession agreement dated Dec 9, 2000.
KUMPULAN PERANGSANG SELANGOR [] Bhd said on Monday, March 28 the suit also involved related agreements, including the Feb 15, 2005 novation agreement, judgment for RM149.48 million for outstanding invoices as well as interest of RM6.21 million.
'Upon extraction of the sealed writ of summons from the Kuala Lumpur High Court, ABASS solicitors will serve the writ of summons on SYABAS accordingly,' KPS said.
According to KPS' corporate website, KPS holds strategic stakes in Konsortium ABASS Sdn Bhd (100%) via Titisan Modal (M) Sdn Bhd, a 55%-owned subsidiary of KPS.
KPS also owns 30% of Syarikat Pengeluar Air Selangor Holdings Bhd via Viable Chip (M) Sdn Bhd, a unit'' of KPS and TALIWORKS CORPORATION BHD [] (20%).
