KUALA LUMPUR: BOUSTEAD HOLDINGS BHD [] expects new subsidiary MHS Aviation Bhd to contribute up to three sen per share EBITDA starting 2QFY2011.
Speaking to reporters after a signing ceremony between Boustead and its 51%-owned subsidiary MHS Aviation, Boustead deputy chairman and group managing director Tan Sri Lodin Wok Kamaruddin said MHS would generate good returns after two to three years.
"We believe MHS is a good investment and will complement Boustead's oil and gas businesses, especially with the RM3.1 billion Petronas Carigali contract," he said.
The ceremony here on Monday, March 28 also marked the handing over of the first of five EC225 aircraft by Eurocopter Malaysia Sdn Bhd to MHS.
According to Lodin, MHS expected to take delivery of another aircraft by year-end, with the remaining three aircraft to be leased from another international partner in the interim. Boustead had signed a MoU in December last year to acquire a 51% equity interest in MHS for RM100 million.
MHS is involved in the provision of helicopter transport services for the oil and gas industry.
