FBM KLCI opens higher

KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI opened higher on Tuesday, Oct 26 lifted by gains including at KL Kepong, Genting and PLUS in early trade.

At 9.05am, the index was up 3.62 points to 1,495.06. Gainers beat losers by 175 to 34 while 122 counters traded unchanged. Volume was 37.8 million shares valued at RM31.73 million.

Eurospan Holdings was the top gainer in early trade and added 34 sen to RM1.50; KLK?? was up 16 sen to RM19.10, NPC and Kulim gained 10 sen each to RM2.40 and RM9.80, Hap Seng PLANTATION []s added nine sen to RM2.87, while Genting, Sarawak Oil Palms, Alam Maritim, WCT and Boustead rose six sen each to RM10.48, RM3.56, RM1.16, RM3.25 and RM6.01 respectively.

Among the decliners were Top Glove, Hong Leong Bank, Bursa Malaysia, SIG Gases, Tenaga, Ho Hup and NCB.
