Mild profit taking

KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI was in the red near midday on Wednesday, Nov 10 as investors took profit after the index hit fresh highs earlier.

At 11.41am, the 30-stock FBM KLCI was down 1.09 points to 1,524.44. Turnover was 789.79 million shares valued at RM863 million. Losers led gainers 388 to 288.

The pullback was mild considering the consistent base building of the index over the weeks amid some profit taking.

Nestle fell 40 sen to RM43.30 with 1,100 shares done. Petronas Dagangan lost 20 sen to RM11.30, KL Kepong shed 16 sen to RM20.22, Genting 14 sen to RM10.66 and Genting PLANTATION []s 13 sen to RM8.82.
