KUALA LUMPUR: Fund buying of key stocks pushed the FBM KLCI to its all-time high of 1,524 in early trade on Tuesday, Nov 9.
At 9.22am, it was up 4.19 points to 1,524.03. Turnover was 131.95 million shares valued at RM120.2 million.
Maybank rose 20 sen to RM9.30 while Batu Kawan gained 10 sen to RM15.50.
F&N surged RM1.18 to RM15.80 after the board recommended a final single tier dividend of 38 sen per share and declared a special interim dividend of RM1.10 per share. This special interim dividend totaling RM393 million will be paid on Jan 6.
EPIC added 31 sen to RM2.14 and AZRB 13 sen to RM1.16. AZRB is selling its 21.26% stake in EPIC for RM111.5 million cash consideration to Lembaga Tabung Amanah Warisan Negeri Terengganu.
The proposed disposal will result in an estimated gain on disposal of approximately RM11.5 million at group level based on the financial results as at June 30, 2010.
