KUALA LUMPUR: IJM CORPORATION BHD [] unit IJM CONSTRUCTION [] Sdn Bhd has accepted the letter of acceptance for the Second Penang Bridge - Package 3B: Batu Kawan Expressway project from Jambatan Kedua Sdn Bhd (JKSB) for a contract sum of RM349.98 million.
JKSB is wholly owned by the Minister of Finance, Incorporated.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, IJM Corp said the project involved, among others, the construction of a new dual two-lane carriageway of approximately 5.7 km in length with a cloverleaf interchange and four bridges.
It said the construction period was 31 months from the date of site possession of June 28, 2010.
