KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI got off to a muted start on Tuesday, June 15 in line with the cautious sentiment across key regional markets after the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 Index slipped overnight at Wall Street.
At 9.15am, the FBM KLCI added 0.27 of a point to 1,297.43. Losers edged gainers by 49 to 47, while 83 counters traded unchanged.
CIMB was among the most actively traded counter in early trade with 413,800 shares done. The stock added three sen to RM6.93.
United Malacca was the top gainer in early trade and jumped 42 sen to RM8.34 after it proposed a final dividend of 25 sen on Monday.
It also proposed to undertake a bonus issue of 67 million bonus shares to be credited as fully paid-up, on the basis of one bonus share for every two existing shares.
Other gainers in early trade included Toyo Ink, Proton, Mamee, Sunrise and IJM PLANTATION []s.
The losers in early trade included Petronas Dagangan, Tenaga, Genting and Public Bank.
