SEOUL: Seoul shares opened higher on Wednesday as sentiment was lifted by reports of an agreement to strengthen the euro zone's rescue fund and following firm gains on Wall Street.
Gains were led by crude oil refiners and shipyards including S-Oil and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering.
The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) was up 0.48 percent at 1,847.68 points as of 0003 GMT. ' Reuters
