KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Negara Malaysia's foreign reserves rose US$3.4 billion to US$134.4 billion (RM427.9 billion) as at Oct 14 from US$131 billion as at Sept 30.
In a statement Friday, Oct 21, the central bank said the reserves position is sufficient to finance 10 months of retained imports and is 4.6 times the short-term external debt.
