PacificMas shares voluntarily suspended

KUALA LUMPUR: Trading in the securities of PACIFICMAS BHD [] has been voluntarily suspended from trading from 2.30pm on Monday, Oct 17.

A Bursa Malaysia Securities circular said during lunch break the suspension was pending a material announcement.

The share price fell eight sen to RM3.07 at midday. There were 117,500 shares transacted at prices ranging from RM3.07 to RM3.18.

On Sept 28, PacificMas received a letter from Bursa Securities approving a further extension of time of three months from Sept 26, 2011 until Dec 25, 2011 to comply with the public shareholding spread requirement.

Based on the company's records as at Sept 18, the public shareholding spread of PacificMas was 20.47% and it was not in compliance with the public shareholding spread requirement as less than 25% of its total listed shares were held by public shareholders.
