KUALA LUMPUR: POS MALAYSIA BHD [] share price jumped in early trade on Wednesday, Jan 19 after Khazanah Nasional Bhd said it would call bids this week for the sale of its 32.21% stake.
At 9.50am, Pos Malaysia was up 24 sen to RM3.63 with 1.6 million shares done.
The FBM KLCI fell 2.58 points to 1,567.46 on profit taking. Turnover was 239.87 million shares valued at RM220.71 million. There were 215 gainers, 206 losers and 233 stocks unchanged.
Khazanah managing director Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar said on Tuesday the government investment arm would look at inviting bids for its strategic stake in Pos Malaysia.
