GCD to build RM500m Gleneagles hospital in Iskandar Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR:'' Global Capital & Development (GCD) will build a RM500 million hospital in Medini, Iskandar Malaysia under a landmark deal with Pantai Group.

The 300-bed Gleneagles Medini Hospital will be on 15 acres of land in Medini North and it would be positioned as one of the premium hospitals under Parkway Health.

'The 300-bed private tertiary healthcare complex will be completed in stages and will be Pantai's 12th hospital in Malaysia,' the companies said in a joint statement.

GCD is the joint consortium'' tasked with developing Medini, the flagship development of Iskandar Malaysia.

The hospital complex will offer a range of tertiary healthcare services supported by a 150-suite medical office block and a centre of excellence.

Future development includes a rehabilitation centre, a nursing home, a hospital residency and other healthcare-related buildings.

The development complements Iskandar Malaysia's vision to become a regional healthcare hub and will set new benchmarks for quality healthcare, reinforcing Malaysia's reputation for delivering world-class medical services for both Malaysian and foreign patients.
