Kuwait Finance House to open three branches by year end

KUALA LUMPUR: Kuwait Finance House (Malaysia) Bhd plans to open three branches by year-end, said KFHMB retail and consumer banking head Attar Salleh.

Presently, the bank has seven branches nationwide, he told Bernama at the launch of KFH's Awareness Campaign for the new Kelana Jaya Light Rail Transit four-car train here on Monday, Aug 23.

Meanwhile, Attar said it would establish its fourth bureau de change at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) by November.

The other three outlets are located at the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT), the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Lumpur City Air Terminal in KL Sentral.

On the company's future focus, he said KFHMB, which concentrated on corporate and commercial banking since its establishment in 2005, aimed to increase its client base with aggressive marketing strategies.

"We expect the retail business to contribute 50% to total assets by 2015," he added. Currently, the retail segment only contributed four per cent to its total asset of RM10 billion. ' Bernama
