Seoul shares open higher as Europe fears ease

SEOUL: Seoul shares opened higher on Wednesday, extending the previous session's gains, as hopes that European policy makers will beef up the euro zone's rescue fund alleviated concerns about the region's debt problems.

The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) was up 0.93 percent to 1,751.93 points as of 0002 GMT. ' Reuters
