KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Armed Forces Fund Board or Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT) recorded highest audited profit of RM751.5 million for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2010 (FY10).
The superannuation fund said on Monday, Sept 5 this was an increase of 44.6% from'' RM519.8 million in FY09.
'This marks the highest income recorded since its establishment 38 years ago. Dividends and bonuses amounting to 14.0% have been credited to eligible members' accounts,' it said.
LTAT's group profit before tax and zakat for FY2010 was RM1.7 billion, up 38.8% from RM1.2 billion in FY09. The group's asset increased 14% to RM59.32 billion from RM52.05 billion.
It announced a dividend payout of RM616.3 million -- 7% dividend, 1% bonus and 6% special bonus in the form of unit trusts. This was an increase of 7.2% compared to last year's payout of RM575.2 million.
