AmIslamic Funds Management is Islamic Fund House of the year

KUALA LUMPUR: AmIslamic Funds Management (AIFM), has just been awarded as Malaysia's Islamic Fund House of the Year by the Best of the Best Awards 2010 from Asia Asset Management, one of Asia's leading financial publications.

The statement issued on Wednesday, Feb 9 said AFIM, which is part of AmInvestment Bank Group's funds management division, was recognised as the best Islamic Fund House in Malaysia which manages domestic and offshore Shariah-compliant funds for both local and overseas institutional and retail investors.

AIFM was recently awarded as Asia-Pacific's Islamic Asset Management House of the Year by The Asset Triple A Islamic Finance Awards 2010.

The head of its funds management division Datin Maznah Mahbob'' said the two prestigious awards highlighted its strengths in Islamic-compliant funds management as it had a track record of managing Shariah-compliant investments for over two decades.

She said with Malaysia International Islamic Financial Centre's (MIFC) support to promote Malaysia as an Islamic financial hub, AIFM had pioneered Shariah-compliant fund offerings and has facilitated mobilisation of funds from Europe, West Asia and Southeast Asia.
