PETALING JAYA: PETRA ENERGY BHD [] has appointed three new directors, namely Abdul Rahim Hamid, Ahmad Azra Salleh and Surya Hidayat Abdul Malik in a move to strengthen and provide a well-balanced Board composition.
The company said on Tuesdya, July 13 Abdul Rahim and Ahmad Azra will assume their roles as independent and non-executive directors, whilst Surya Hidayat Abdul Malik, who is an executive director of PETRA PERDANA BHD [], will assume the role of a non-independent and non-executive director.
Petra Energy executive director and CEO, Kamarul Baharin Albakri, said it was imperative that the board was experienced and to strengthen corporate governance practices.
"We are operating in a dynamic industry today, and their valuable and collective insights will add credence to the overall management and operations of the Petra Energy group," he said.
