TOKYO: Japan's Nikkei average fell 2% on Monday, June 7 after disappointing US jobs data further spooked investors already worried about a potential debt crisis in Hungary and sent Wall Street to its lowest close since February.
But Hitachi Zosen gained 0.9% to ''115 after the Nikkei business daily reported it and Finnish engine maker Wartsila will start developing fuel cells for manufacturers and other business users looking to reduce their carbon dioxide emissions.
The benchmark Nikkei shed 195.34 points to 9,705.85, while the broader Topix lost 1.8% to 874.08. ' Reuters
