Seoul shares open up after sharp falls on N.Korea fears

SEOUL (Dec 20): Seoul shares opened higher on Tuesday, posting a speedy recovery from sharp falls in the previous session on the sudden death of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, with rises led by battered TECHNOLOGY [] stocks and refiners.

The Korea Composite Stock Price Index was up 0.62 percent at 1,787.98 points as of 0006 GMT. - Reuters
