November palm oil stocks dn 1.52% ro 2.068m tonnes

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 13): Malaysia's palm oil stocks declined by 1.52% to 2.068 million tonnes in November 2011 from 2.1 million tonnes in October.

The Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) said on Tuesday that month-on-month, crude palm oil (CPO) stocks in November fell by 3.3% to 1.23 million tonnes while processed palm oil went up by 1.21% to 841,698 tonnes.

It said palm kernel stocks decreased by 18.22% to 153,978 tonnes and crude palm kernel oil stock was 6.9% higher at 195,546 tonnes.

The stocks for processed palm kernel oil increased 12.26% to 161,874 tonnes while palm kernel cake stocks dropped by 8.49% to 337,651 tonnes.

Total palm kernel oil increased by 9.26% to 357,420 tonnes.

The MPOB said the CPO output in September slipped by 14.76% on-month to 1.626 million tonnes from 1.908 million tonnes in October.

It said palm kernel production went down 14.65% to 403,023 tonnes, crude palm kernel oil output slipped 6.33% to 199,639 tonnes and palm kernel cake output declined 6.37% to 221,838 tonnes.

Palm oil exports in November decreased by 9.94% to 1.66 million tonnes compared with 1.84 million tonnes in October and palm kernel oil exports slipped by 8.2% to 108,041 tonnes.

The MPOB said palm kernel cake exports surged by 38.29% to 277,490 tonnes while oleochemical exports decreased by 2.56% to 200,855 tonnes.

Biodiesel exports fell by 11.78% to 12,411 tonnes from 14,068 tonnes previously, it added.

CPO imports in November grew by 116.78% to 87,198 tonnes while processed palm oil imports went down 79.69% to 1,067 tonnes.

Total palm oil imports for November surged by 94.08% to 88,265 tonnes and total palm kernel oil imports went up 118.09% to 53,896 tonnes.

The average price of fresh fruit bunches per tonne during the month increased by 10.62 % to RM32.82. - Bernama
