KUALA LUMPUR: CBSA Bhd has entered into a content license agreement with Google Ireland Ltd to provide business listings for Google Maps in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam.
In a filing Wednesday, June 15, CBSA said its unit CBSA Online Sdn Bhd had signed the agreement with Google Ireland on June 14.
It said CBSA Online would receive license fees for the licensed content provided and annual update fees during the term of the Agreement.
It said the agreement was for a five-year period and renewable after the expiry of the initial term.
CBSA said that CBSA Media Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Super Pages Media Sdn Bhd), a wholly owned subsidiary of CBSA Online and Google had embarked on a partnership in 2007 to include business listings from Superpages.com.my in Google Maps.
'This agreement has extended CBSA's partnership with Google to include business listings from Panpages.com and this will allow more Southeast Asia businesses to be found through searches on Google Maps, including mobile,' it said.
CBSA said the agreement was expected to contribute positively to its earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2011.
