Nikkei falls on stronger yen; earnings in focus

TOKYO: Japan's Nikkei average fell on Tuesday as exporters were hit by a stronger yen, while investors held off from trading aggressively ahead of more corporate earnings announcements.

The benchmark Nikkei dropped 0.6 percent to 9,617.32, while the broader Topix index fell 0.6 percent to 835.96. ' Reuters
