KUALA LUMPUR: TRICUBES BHD [] said the cost of the push e-mail under the 'Malaysian' email project would be less than 50 sen each and the cost would be borne by the sender.
Tricubes said on Tuesday, April 26 it targeted to launch the project by July and targeted about five million subscribers. It was still in talks with the government agencies to secure them as customers for the project.
As for the funding for the RM50 million project,'' it said had received RM5.5 million from MavCap for funding while it was mulling other corporate exercises to raise the rest of the funds.
The company said the funds could be raised via rights issue, debt or equities.
Tricubes ' which is a GN3 company ' also said it had to submit its regularisation plan to Bursa Malaysia by October.
To recap, on April 19, Tricubes was appointed to implement the email project'' which would involve RM50 million in investment. It is one of seven new projects under the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP).
The investment also includes the development of a web portal as a one-stop centre for government services, providing value-added services such as social networking, checking bills online and payments.
Tricubes said under the scheme, Malaysians aged 18 and above will each be assigned a unique e-mail account to receive statements, bills and notices.
