KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI opened above the 1,480-point level on Thursday, Oct 7 lifted by gains including at Petronas Dagangan, Petronas Gas, KL Kepong and Axiata.
At 9.05am, the benchmark index was up 1.96 points to 1,481.57. Gainers led losers by 85 to 45, while 87 counters traded unchanged. Volume was 15.95 million shares valued at RM23.46 million.
Among the early gainers, Nestl'' was up 60 sen to RM44.50, Padini was up 23 sen to RM5.01, KL Kepong up 20 sen to RM17.60, Petronas Dagangan added 12 sen to RM11.12 while Mamee and Mudajaya gained eight sen each to RM3.63 and RM4.52.
Axiata and Mah Sing rose five sen each to RM4.53 and RM1.95, while Petronas Gas and QSR Brands added four sen each to RM11 and RM5.03.
The early decliners included MISC, Hong Leong Bank, Public Bank, Berjaya Sports Toto and Supermax.
