DiGi rebounds, recoups most of Monday's losses

KUALA LUMPUR: DiGi.com's share price rebounded in early trade on Tuesday, Oct 5, recouping most of its previous day's losses.

At 9.02am, it was up RM3.36 to RM24.36. There were 5,800 shares done.

The recovery in DiGi's share price helped nudge the FBM KLCI higher. The 30-stock KLCI rose 5.49 points to 1,467.76. Turnover was 32.65 million shares valued at RM16.45 million. There were 55 gainers, 49 losers and 77 stocks unchanged.

On Monday, DiGi closed down RM3.58 to RM21 with 161,000 shares done in the absence of any negative news. This saw RM2.78 billion erased from its market capitalisation to end the day at RM16.327 billion.

The FBM KLCI, which was trading around the 1,470 level throughout the day, fell 4.05 points to close at 1,462.27. The KLCI futures fell 8.5 points to 1,464.50.

Some 36,000 DIGI.COM BHD [] shares changed hands at RM21 per share within the last 10 minutes of market close.
