FBM KLCI advances in early trade

KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI rose marginally in early trade, lifted by gains at select blue chips including Tanjong, MISC, DiGi and Genting.

At 9.10am, the FBM KLCI added 1.46 points to 1,315.48 points. Gainers led losers by 58 to 45, while 87 counters traded unchanged. Volume was 22.4 million shares valued at RM23.58 million.

Among the gainers, KFCH added 10 sen to RM10.22, Tanjong eight sen to RM17.52, while MISC and MPHB gained six sen each to RM8.66 and RM2.10.

DiGi, K-Star Sports, Genting and PPB, meanwhile, rose four sen each to RM23.04, RM20.30, RM7.16 and RM16.02, respectively.

KLK was the top loser and fell eight sen to RM16.34, Kulim down five sen to RM7.40, YTL three sen to RM7.37 while Unisem, C.I. Holdings and Bursa lost two sen each to RM2.88, RM2.70 and RM7.02, respectively.

AWC was the most actively traded stock with 2.9 million shares done. The counter gained 1.5 sen to 27 sen. Other actives included CIMB, Green Packet, Time, Kumpulan Europlus and Talam.
