KUALA LUMPUR: PLUS EXPRESSWAYS BHD [] group registered higher traffic volume in April, with the Linkedua Expressway (Malaysia-Singapore Second Crossing) and Elite Expressway (North-South Expressway Central Link) recording the most growth.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing, PLUS said Linkedua Expressway's passenger car units (PCU) totalled 1.76 million, representing a 22.8% increase from a year earlier. Year-to-date, the Malaysia-Singapore Second Crossing's PCU amounted to 6.74 million, growing by 22.5% year-on-year.
The Butterworth-Kulim Expressway (KLBK) posted an 11.8% growth to 1.95 million PCU. Year-to-date, PCU also 11.8% to 7.72 million PCU.
Elite Expressway saw passenger car unit per kilometre (PCU-km) rising by 19.8% to 129.1 million in April. Year-to-date, its PCU-km grew by 16% to 505.8 million.
Projek Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan Bhd registered a 14.2% growth to 1.28 billion PCU-km in April from a year earlier. Year to date, PCU-km rose 10.3% to 5.12 billion vehicles.
