TAIPEI (Nov 8): Mark Mobius, one of the world's best-known emerging market investors, is still buying Thai stocks, though in small amounts because valuations have not come down that much despite the flooding in the country.
Mobius is executive chairman of Templeton Emerging Markets Group, which oversees $50 billion in emerging markets funds. He also said during a presentation in Taipei that his funds are increasing exposure to Taiwan stocks.
"We are increasing our exposure in Taiwan stocks, mostly in tech and consumer sectors, Mobius said.
"The outlook for Taiwan stocks is excellent. Southeast Asia consumer stocks are cheap. Taiwan consumer stocks are cheap." ' Reuters
