KUALA LUMPUR: SALCON BHD [] is revamping its China water and wastewater operations which will also see it disposing of a 40% stake in Salcon Water (Asia) Ltd for RM112.26 million to Challenger Emerging Market Infrastructure Fund Pte Ltd (EMIF).
Salcon said on Monday, Non 22,'' Salcon Asia is a special purpose vehicle set up to consolidate water assets in China currently held by several Hong Kong holding companies which are principally involved in water treatment, sewage treatment and raw water supply/transfer activities.
Salcon and EMIF would then work together to invest and operate water and wastewater infrastructure in China.
